25 Gorgeous Fall Centerpiece Ideas to Warm Up Your Table

Decorating the home for fall is one of the highlights of the season! For me, the obvious place to start is by creating a centerpiece for the dining room or kitchen table.

Think about it–the table sets the scene for memorable autumn activities: pumpkin carving, celebrating a bountiful year at Thanksgiving, and cozy fall nights enjoying comfort foods as a family. The table is in the middle of all of it, so why not decorate your table with a pumpkin display or floral arrangement, to help soak up all the fall feels?

In addition to pumpkins, the stars of this show are faux fall foliage, baskets and amber bottles, and candles for that warm cozy glow.

This table feels like we could take a seat and enjoy a slice of pumpkin bread. Homey touches like fresh baked bread, an antique butter dish, and dishes stacked ready for a meal really finish off the amber bottle centerpiece.

Pumpkin Candle Holders

The cozy aesthetic of these cute baby pumpkin candle holders works great on its own, but would also be a good fit if you want to infuse some Halloween into your fall decorations. If you want to make sure the pumpkins don’t rot, you can seal the hole with candle wax.

DIY Herb Garland

For your next fall dinner party, Friendsgiving, or just to enjoy on an everyday basis, make a DIY herb garland for your table. I love the rustic and inexpensive element to this project. If you have an herb garden, even better.

Traditional Autumn Colored Centerpiece

This vibrant, traditionally colored autumn centerpiece is made by mixing faux leaves and berries with a few real branches from a plum tree. I love the copper accents as well, but the kicker is the rustic wooden cutting board with pumpkin cake ready for snacking.

These pretty faux stems pair perfectly with a turquoise-tinted vase that makes the oranges pop. Add in a few more details, like these mini pumpkins and a wooden riser, which come together to create a relaxed fall look perfect for a kitchen table.

Bountiful Basket Centerpiece

With this idea you can shop your home for a basket and fill it to the brim with pumpkins, gourds, and dried foliage. I love the brass candlesticks and amber bottles to complete the rustic vignette.

Dough Bowl Centerpiece

Dough bowls are a popular statement at any time of the year, but fall is the perfect time to use them as a rustic accent on your coffee table or dining room table. Amy of 804 Sycamore filled hers with a combination of real and faux leaves, and LED candles (to avoid a fire hazard.)

Tobacco Basket Centerpiece

This boho cottage centerpiece pares it down with a black and white plaid table runner, and a simple tobacco basket filled with fresh pumpkins. If you wanted to add a few hints of Halloween as well, it would mesh well with this simple color scheme!

Pumpkin Vase and Floral Arrangement

Any floral arrangement would look beautiful in this vase, made from a real pumpkin! The secret is layering a glass vase inside the carved out pumpkin. Bonus if you can get a beautiful pinkish peach pumpkin like this one.

Pumpkin Filled Vase

Fill a large glass vase with mini pumpkins from a craft store. In addition to using eucalyptus or lamb’s ear leaves, as used here, you could add some mums or hydrangeas.

Vintage Crock Centerpiece

Next time I go thrifting I’m searching for a butter crock like this one! It seems made for harvest-themed floral arrangements filled with fall leaves, eucalyptus, and berries. Also those mini amber mason jars…so cute!

Unique Fall Bouquet

A plaid tablecloth really sets the fall mood for this centerpiece, featuring a classy and simple orange bouquet of tulips and dahlias, surrounded by white baby pumpkins. The scrabble tiles spelling out “Happy Fall” are a nice touch!

Simple Outdoor Centerpiece

You can decorate your outdoor eating spaces for fall, too! Mismatched pumpkins and a beautiful copper pitcher used as a dried flower vase are all you need, or you can translate this idea into your kitchen for a simple, sweet, and warm table setting.

This white and green themed centerpiece features pumpkins in terra cotta planters. Herbs and flowers act as bookends. This display is over the top, until it really seems as though you’ve stepped into a garden!

Coffee tables need some love too! You can take this idea and run with it–start with a craft store crate, either paint it or leave it neutral, and fill with your favorite fall greenery and gourds.

Warm Fall Tone Table Arrangement

Not every fall arrangement needs to focus on pumpkins! Be creative–pinecones are a lesser-used way to bring fall to the table. There are also so many thoughtful details and layers to glean ideas from on this table–I love the printed dish towel and the dried leaves scattered here and there.

Mix & Match Textiles

You can create texture by layering multiple textiles, like this table which layers a runner with plaid and burlap ribbons. Another layer is the wood dough bowl, topped with a pumpkin vase with a fall-toned arrangement. This table also brings in even deeper tones with burgundy roses.

Blue & Earth Tones

Navy blue for fall has been trending in recent years, as it complements well the oranges and rust tones of the season. Take this idea and spotlight white pumpkins on wood risers, use a galvanized bucket to showcase a beautiful arrangement of colored leaves, and add in some pops of blue via berries and a navy blue table runner.

Mason Jar Centerpiece

If the onset of fall makes you feel like crafting, a mason jar centerpiece would be so easy to make at home! Paint some mason jars, wrap them in twine, and arrange faux florals in a way that you love. Instant simple and classic centerpiece!

White on White

Who says white isn’t a fall color? I love this creator’s classy centerpiece starting with a white pumpkin vase, filling it with white and off-white faux stems. Adding hints of pink in the floral mini pumpkins makes the shades of white pop!

Eucalyptus Table Runner

If you’ve seen the hack that recommends layering two Christmas garlands together, take it one step further. Several strands of faux eucalyptus are twisted together, then finished off with husk pumpkins.

Hydrangea Centerpiece

I love off-the-beaten-path ideas for fall decorations, and dried hydrangeas for fall are certainly underutilized! Elevate your floral arrangement using a marble cake stand. Keep it simple, or add some finishing touches like faux leaves, mini pumpkins, and candlesticks on the side.

Simple Wheat Centerpiece

Keep it super simple with a bunch of dried bunny tail grass in a stoneware pitcher. The creator of this table, Ashley, also spread deep burgundy leaves and mini candles throughout the center of the table.

Edible Fall Centerpiece

While this may be an easier centerpiece to reserve for a dinner party or special occasion like Thanksgiving, it’s still a great idea! Start with running butcher paper down the center of the table to keep the mess to a minimum. Then, layer nuts, pomegranates, mandarin oranges, and fresh herbs.

Wreath Ringed Fall Centerpiece

To keep things super simple, nestle a simple pitcher or vase into a fall wreath that you love. Fill the vase with faux or foraged branches. You will have a beautiful, full centerpiece that took seconds to create!
