With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, you might be looking to give something with a personal touch. I’ve always been more excited to receive something that was made with love than something that was simply grabbed at the local drugstore in a pinch. Can you relate?
That’s why I’ve put together three totally unique DIY watercolour card ideas that are easy enough for beginners and will make for a heartfelt keepsake. They are also quick to create if you’re in a rush!
Heart Cupcake Watercolour Tutorial
The first one is this adorably delicious illustrated cupcake! Topped with a candy heart of course to keep with the Valentine theme. Using a few different shapes and some easy shading techniques, you can craft your own yummy baked concoction. You can use this on the face of a card or as a print to frame and hang!

Soaring Hearts Valentine Watercolour Tutorial
Next up is this quick and easy rainbow inspired card with text that reads “you make my heart soar”. This card uses a mix of watercolour and ink to illustrate a few sweet little birds carrying heart balloons.

The third painting has a whimsical feel and simple floral shapes which form a heart. Once again, you can use this on the face of a Valentine’s Day card or create a unique print for your loved one.
