Hey friends! I’m doing something different today because I wanted to shake things up a bit here. Meet Tara, she is one of my oldest friends and my ex-teenage band stalking accomplice.

She is a musician, loves to bake, and has the cutest pup named Dexter. She also knows hair and is a certified stylist, which is the main reason I wanted to bring her on today!

I’ve had some questions from some of you that I personally can’t answer because hair is not my specialty, so I thought it would be fun to get some professional product advice for these summer months!

She’s put together her top ten products based on hair dilemma and will also be sticking around to answer your hair questions in the comments, so check it out and enjoy!

1. Batiste Dry Shampoo (click to view)
Dry Shampoo is a definite must-have for the summer. You sweat more which causes greasy hair, but between washes, use this bad boy to freshen up your hair and get rid of that grease. There are a ton of different brands out there but this one is by far my fav.

2. It’s A 10, Miracle Leave In Product (click to view)
Because the sun dries your hair and causes damage, especially if you have coloured hair, you’ll definitely want to add some extra moisture to your locks. It’s a 10 is definitely one of the best product lines out there. They use this on film sets to treat actors’ hair so you KNOW it’s good.

3. Living proof. No Frizz Shampoo (click to view)
This shampoo is the best for summer. Not only is it a really good shampoo but it also protects your hair from sun damage and humidity plus also purifies all build-up if you spend some time in the pool. Another must-have for the summer.

4. Sebastian Re-Shaper Hairspray (click to view)
This stuff is perfect for your frizzy hair problems. We all know what the heat can do to our freshly styled hair. This hairspray is a strong hold but also brushable and humidity resistant.

5. Moroccan Oil Frizz Control (click to view)
I swear by all moroccan oil products and this one is definitely my fav of them all. Not only does it add moisture to your hair but it also presents frizz and static. Works well for both summer and winter.

6. Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray (click to view)
Want the textured beachy look? Check out this awesome product. It’s definitely the best I’ve used and also doesn’t leave any residue.

7. Sebastian Thickefy Foam (click to view)
If you have limp and thin hair, this product is for you. It’s a weightless thickener that makes your hair look extra volumized and also has some hold. The Sebastian Whipped Creme is also amazing and smells super good too.

8. Bamboo Style Super-Natural Curl (click to view)
If you have curly hair, you probably know how hard it is to find a product that works well for your hair. Look no more, this product holds but also doesn’t leave your curls feeling stiff. It’s also certified organic.

9. Wella Professionals Sun Protection Spray (click to view)
If you’re thinking of spending a lot of time in the sun this summer, check this out. It has UV protection (yup your hair actually needs that) which will help prevent your colour from fading and sun damage plus moisturizes.

10. Nexxus Emergencee Conditioning Treatment (click to view)
As you probably already know, continuously colouring your hair mixed with the sun can seriously damage your hair and cause breakage. Nexxus has this amazing mask that not only conditions but it REBUILDS your hair. How you ask? It contains Keratin which is the primary amino acid of hair itself. So if you have any problems with breakage, check this out asap! It’s by far the best reconstructor ever.

What summer hair issue do you have? Tara will be answering any hair questions you have in the comments!
